Cookie Notice
AO-SAGE uses only a few first-party cookies, and every one of them is either strictly necessary or a functional preference cookie. We do not use any tracking, analytics, advertising, or third-party cookies - in keeping with our wider data-minimisation approach, nothing here is used to profile you.

The cookies we set
No cookie is set before you interact with the site. Preference cookies are written only at the moment you change that particular preference.
Why there is no consent banner
Under the EU ePrivacy rules, consent is required only for cookies that are not strictly necessary - typically analytics, advertising, and cross-site tracking cookies. AO-SAGE sets none of those.
The session cookie is strictly necessary to provide the sign-in you requested, and the theme / layout / region cookies are functional preferences written only when you yourself change that setting. Because we use no non-essential or tracking cookies, no consent banner is required.
We do keep a daily visitor count, but it uses no cookie and stores no IP address - only a one-way, day-scoped hash that cannot be linked to you or across days. Because it sets nothing on your device, the ePrivacy cookie-consent rule does not apply to it. See How we count visitors for the detail.
Third-party requests
We do not load third-party fonts, so the site makes no third-party font requests. The only third parties involved are Discord and Google (for OAuth sign-in) and Cloudflare (which serves the site). These are network requests, not cookies we set - see the Privacy Policy for how those third parties are involved.
How to clear or block cookies
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. If you clear the ao_sage_session cookie you will be signed out; if you clear a preference cookie the site simply falls back to
its default for that setting. Blocking all cookies will prevent sign-in from working.
Changes
If we ever change the cookies we use, we will update this notice and the "Last updated" date at the top of the page.
